Obituary for Jack Fury
Jack Lee Fury, 78, of Shinnston passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 at the West Virginia Veteran’s Nursing Home.
He was born on April 2, 1939 in Clarksburg to the late William and Lenora Louden Fury. Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Fury on February 5, 2013.
He was survived by their children, Deborah Southern and her husband Jack of Shinnston; DiAnna Davisson and her husband Lonnie of Clarksburg; Gary Fury and his companion, Tamie Leggett of Pennsboro; and Greg Fury and his companion Loraine Fox of Lumberport; brothers, Jim Fury and his wife JoAnne of Florida; Donald Fury and his wife Sharon of Lumberport; Richard Fury and his wife Barbara of South Carolina; grandchildren, Ricky Hyre of Clarksburg; Jamie Hyre of Shinnston; Megan McIntyre and her husband Derek of Shinnston; Joshua Fury of Salem; Jeremey Fury and his wife LeAnna of Salem; Justin Davisson and his wife Amy of Bridgeport; Jeni Fury of Lumberport; Johnny Lee Fury of West Virginia; Kevin Fury and his wife Kacie of Shinnston; Sara Tyson and her husband Jimmie of Florida; Dillan Fury of Baton Rouge, LA; Ashley Bradley and her husband Joey of Lumberport; and several great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Jack was preceded in death by his brothers, John Fury formerly of Ohio; William (Bill) Fury formerly of Pennsylvania; and Thomas Fury formerly of Salem; and his sister, Lo Anne Hollow formerly of Pennsylvania.
Jack was self-employed as a carpet layer. He was a member of the VFW Post # 31. Jack loved to go to Amish country and travel.
Family and friends will be received at the West Virginia Veteran’s Nursing Home Chapel at One Freedoms Way, Clarksburg, WV 26301 on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Max Palmer and Pastor Chad Beck officiating. Interment will be at the Lumberport Lion's Club Cemetery.
