Condolence: “Hawk” was an amazing man. He made everyone he met feel special and valued. As an educator, he contributed not just to the minds, but to the hearts of all his students. Even up to he last day, he had a student waiting to see him to tell him he passed all his tests for graduation. That student sought Mr. Romeo out because he knew he cared. Everyone who knew him knew what a wonderful heart this man had.... He will be missed tremendously and loved endlessly. There is a special place in heaven for him.... Until we meet again, Hawk Romeo!

Condolence: I had known HAWK for over 30 years. He was a special person. Although I was a basketball official, we knew each other. I am truly saddened to hear of HAWK's passing. I will be going to the University of Notre Dame next week for a basketball game. I always stop by the Grotto on campus to light a candle and to offer prayers. I will offer a special prayer for Ron "HAWK" Romeo. May he rest in peace. God Bless His Family.

Condolence: My family was first acquainted with Mr. Romeo when we were getting ready to move to Bridgeport. We lived outside the state and I had visited BHS earlier and was given his name and phone number to contact him about my three kids that had dyslexia. He called me first and with his deep, loving voice assured me he was there to “have their backs” all through school. I cannot tell you how much he really came through for them!! This was just the beginning of a wonderful friendship with he and my children. We loved him immensely and are very grateful for all he did and for the happiness he left! Until we see you again 😊

Condolence: Hawk was always a true fraternity brother and friend to me. He was the best man at my wedding and although over time and distance we drifted apart I often think of him and the years that we shared together.
Rest in Peace Ron Romeo, I will always remember you.
May God Bless the Romeo family.

Condolence: I met Mr. Romeo approximately 30 years ago while he was substituting at Gore Jr High. I remember him telling me that his friends called him Hawk and told me to address him as the same. After school we would talk football. I'm a huge Steeler fan and know a good bit about football for "a girl"! That's my memory of Mr. Hawk Romeo. And it's no coincidence that I seen this as I'm watching football. May God be with the Romeo family during thIs saddened time. He will always be remembered as good man, touching everyones heart that he met. Rev. 21:3, 4 - you'll be back soon Hawk!

Condolence: I'm so sorry to heard the sad news about Hawk. Everytime I talked to Hawk I would leave with a big smile on my face. He was one of a kind. I'll never forget attending class with Hawk at Fairmont State and I made him start laughing and he could not stop. The professor had to stop the class and he looked at Hawk and said Hawk you are 36 years old don't you think you need to grow up. Hawk we will surely miss you! I'm sure Hawk has God laughing right now. God Bless Hawk's family.
