Obituary for Eva Jean Knepper (Sandy)

On August 30, 2018 God called home an angel. Eva Jean Sandy Knepper resided in Fairmont. Born August 29th in a cabin on Saltwell Road, she was the eldest daughter of the late James Paul and Mary Ella Combs Sandy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Alfred Daniel Knepper, her beloved son David Knepper, Cousin John Smith, Eldest brother James Russell Sandy, and twin brothers Arl and Carl Sandy.
Left behind to cherish her memory are two Daughters EllaJean and husband Jeff Humphrey of Fairmont, and Charlotte Haun of Fort Worth, Texas. She was also a beloved Grandmother and friend of four grandchildren, Annajean Humphrey, Saranne Humphrey, Jeffrey David Humphrey, and Gary Haun. She also leaves behind many cousins and close friends.
Never a Stronger woman you would ever meet. Eva Jean never met a stranger. She enjoyed staying on the go, finding joy and friendships at local auctions, Saturday night music, and fairs and festivals around the state. As a graduate of Shinnston high school class of 1954, she enjoyed attending class reunions. An avid coffee drinker, she loved her flowers, cards and poems, and watching Sunday preachers. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, country, and bluegrass music, reading the Sunday paper, and cooking for her family.
Forever she will be missed, never will she be forgotten.
A gathering of family and friends will be received at Harmer Funeral Home, 300 Pike St, Shinnston on Tuesday September 4, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday September 5, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Charles Chipps officiating.
