Brigitte Maxine Martin, 54, of Conway SC, passed away Saturday, September 28, following an extended illness at her residence with her friend Bill Combs.

Brigitte was born on April 15, 1965 in Clarksburg, WV, the daughter of Edgar Garnet Martin Sr. and the late Karin Martin.
She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1983.
She is survived by two children; daughter Joanina Karin (Joni) Marra-Edgell, and husband Chris; son John Marra IV (Johnny); High school sweetheart and father of her children John Marra III. Three grandsons; Camdyn Jayce Marra, Eli Sebastian Marra, and Deondre Alan Edgell all from Shinnston; as well as four siblings; Brenda Butler and husband Barry of Peora, Beverly Young and husband Tim of Lumberport, Bonita Cain and fiancé Mark Holcomb of Enterprise, and Eddie Martin and wife Sandy of Lumberport.
Brigitte, has several nieces and nephews, and also several great nieces and nephews. Her niece Lacey had a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Lester Garnet and Virginia Maxine Martin, and her dear friends Lula Ellen Marra, and Frank Cox.
Brigitte, had a passion for creative arts, and loved to draw. She enjoyed sight seeing, picking wild flowers during car rides. Especially, the blue ones which was her favorite color. She also had a love for all animals, but cats were her favorite.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Friends and family will be received at the Harmer Funeral Home, 300 Pike Street, Shinnston, WV on Thursday October 3, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday October 4, 2019 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a funeral service following at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kevin Nuzum officiating. Interment will follow at Enterprise IOOF Cemetery.
