Mona Blanche “Squirt” Scott Cummings, 76, of Clarksburg, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019, surrounded by her loving family at the United Hospital Center in Clarksburg.

She was born on December 17, 1942, in Meadowbrook, the daughter of the late Roy F. and Minnette Henry Scott. She was the wife of the late Robert Eugene “Bob” Cummings, whom she married August 22, 1970.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Eugene “Bo” Cummings and companion Jeanette Koontz of Spelter, and Ray Cummings and his wife Leslie Holbert Cummings of Clarksburg; 1 stepdaughter, Denise Darlene Karlen of Clarksburg; 8 granddaughters, Angel, Michelle, Kaleigh, Elizabeth, Madison, and Lexsi-Caye Cummings, Shawna Karlen; and Stephanie Koontz; 1 grandson, Zachary Cummings; and several great-grandchildren; 7 brothers, Roy Scott, Jr., Wayne Scott, Charles Scott and wife Roberta, Tom Scott and wife Connie, Randy Scott and wife Cindy, Kenny Scott and wife Nannette, and Rick Scott and wife Beverly; 3 sisters Sue Scott Glover and husband Dan, Wanda Scott Moore, and Wilma Scott Drummond and her companion Bill Hayhurst.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Cummings was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Roy Eugene “Jughead” Cummings & Wendy Cummings; stepson, James “Jay” Cummings; and infant sister, Sherri Lynn Scott.
She was Methodist by faith. Mona enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing bingo, cooking for her family, and word search puzzles.
Mona will forever be remembered for her undying love for her family.
Friends and family will be received at the Harmer Funeral Home, Shinnston on Wednesday October 16, 2019 from 2:00 - 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday October 17, 2019 at 11:00am with Pastors Rodney Hunter and Dan Adkins officiating. Interment will follow at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
