Evelyn "Ebby" Marie Hearn Williams, 92, of Shinnston, WV passed away December 2, 2019 unexpectedly at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 9, 1927 in Bingamon, WV, to Gertrude West Hearn and James M Hearn. On June 23, 1951 she married Stanley E Williams, who preceded her in death on June 17, 2018. She is survived by her son Randy W Williams of Meadland Community, WV and daughter Renee Talbott and her husband Brett of Buckhannon, WV; Her grandson Matthew C Fox and his fiancé, Leigha Jones of Clarksburg, WV; Also her daughter in law, J. J. Robinson of Clarksburg, WV; step grandsons Jacob Robinson and his wife Nikki of Clarksburg and Emerson Talbott of Asheville NC. She was preceded in death by two children, son Philip T Williams and infant daughter, Terry D Williams. Evelyn was the last surviving sibling of the Hearn kids, being preceded in death by sisters Virginia Garrett, Pauline Gregory, and Helen Anderson and brothers, Clarence, Ray, Charles, and Russell Hearn. Evelyn started working at sixteen to help the family. She worked at Westinghouse and Owens-Illinois Glass Factory until the birth of their son. She then started her most important job as mom. Evelyn was an avid bowler in her younger years. She bowled many years in the Sigma 7 league with the "girls". She enjoyed the fun and friendships more than winning. She loved her flower gardens and could be found out piddling in them all summer long. Evelyn never met a stranger and always had a smile and a kind word. She brought sunshine with her any place she might be.

Friends will be received at the Harmer Funeral Home, 300 Pike St., Shinnston on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a funeral service on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Sherman Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
