Kimberly Kay Maxwell, age 58, passed away unexpectedly on May 23rd at her home with family by her side. Kim was loved dearly by her friends and family. She had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. She always placed others before herself. She had welcomed Jesus into her life as her Savior and was baptized at South Ridge Church in Fairmont.

She was born January 29th, 1962. Kim was a caregiver. She loved her family, friends, and her four Shih Tzu pups more than anything. Kim loved to garden and always had beautiful flowers planted around her home. She also loved watching WVU football games, crafting, and going to the beach.
Kim is survived by her loving husband, Brian Maxwell of 31 years. Also surviving are three daughters, Amanda Newlon and her fiancé Curtis Adams, Shari Tonkery and her husband Aaron Tonkery, and Melissa Maxwell; and five grandchildren, Nicholas Maxwell, Douglas Newlon, Kylie Newlon, Bentley Tonkery, and Paxton Tonkery. She is also survived by her mother Mabel Hardman; two sisters, Diane Wentz and her husband David Wentz, and Janie Price and her fiancé Donnie Garrett; and one brother in-law, Gary Maxwell and his wife Alice Maxwell. Kim also has several nieces, nephews, and extended family who also survive her.
Kim was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheyenne Maxwell; her father, Harold Hardman; and her mother and father in law, Lillian and Lylburn Maxwell.
Due to COVID-19 a private visitation will be held for the family. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 27,2020 at 1:00 PM at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Darren Alkire officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of her father Harold Hardman.
