Mrs. Lois Fratto (Brown) died peacefully in Rockwall, Texas on Friday, October 9, 2020 at the age of 95.

Lois was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who is survived by her children, John (Marie), Fratto of Rockwall, TX; William â€śBillâ€ť (Linda) Fratto of Lumberport, WV; Rosemarie (Richard) Geary of London, UK; Edith â€śEdieâ€ť (Michael) Rosner of Fort Myers, FL; her brother Emory (Kathy) Williamson of Akron, OH, her grandchildren, Lou (Susan) Fratto of Delray Beach, FL; Melissa â€śMissyâ€ť (Kenneth â€śKenâ€ť) Huntley of Rockwall, TX; Gayle (Jill) Fratto of Shinnston, WV; Gina (William â€śBuddyâ€ť) Hawkins of Lumberport, WV; Michelle (Stuart) Chalmers of Leamington Spa, UK; and her great grandchildren Julia, William, Rosemarie, John Calvin, Ashton, Maxwell, Gayle Marie, Vincent, Ella, and Louie. Lois is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends as well as her much beloved dog, Stori. Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Fratto; her sister, Marilyn Clegg; and her brother, George Williamson.
Lois was born on February 20, 1925, in Bluefield, WV to Clyde and Edith Brown and graduated from Victory High School in 1943. She married Louis Fratto, her love and lifelong partner, on September 28, 1944 in New Bern, NC. After returning to WV from CA, where Louis served in the US Marine Corp, Lois began working for Continental Can. They also owned and operated Midway Manor, the popular local dance hall. The couple welcomed 4 children into their home and raised them in Erie, WV. Lois is remembered by her children and grandchildren as a strong, tenacious, and spirited role model who always let them know they were loved. Lois was a member of St. Annâ€™s Catholic Church during the many years she resided in WV.
A viewing will be held on Friday evening 4pm to 8pm at Harmer Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 PM, a funeral mass will be held on Saturday at St. Annâ€™s Catholic Church at 11am. Father Chris Turner will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Loisâ€™s life.
