Deborah Sue Bunnell

Deborah S. Hartley Bunnell, 67, of Shinnston passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Ruby Memorial Hospital following complications from cancer.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry H. and Dorotha (Bice) Hartley.
She is survived by her son; Steven P. Bunnell of Lumberport; three brothers, Gary L. (Karen) Hartley and Ronald B. (Anne) Hartley both of Bridgeport, Randy (Barbara) Hartley of Shinnston; nieces and nephews, Sara (Jay) Mike of Bridgeport, Adam Hartley of Bridgeport, Jessica (Richie) Todd of Core, WV, Leah Hartley of Bridgeport, Abby Hartley of Bridgeport, Kelley Swiger of Lumperport, Jeffrey ( Hailey) Hartley of Fairmont, Stacy (Joanie) Freeman of Shinnston; great-nieces and nephews, Lilly and Addison Mike, Vance Todd, Ava Jhawn “AJ” Atkinson, Aubrey Swiger, Austin, Gauge and Isaiah (Petey) Freeman, and she is also survived by her faithful companion Sassie.
Deborah graduated from the class of 1971 at Shinnston High School and retired from the FBI CJIS Division in 2015. She was a member of the Shinnston Church of Christ; Debbie was one of the kindest people in the world and had the biggest heart. She loved her family and friends and would do anything for them.
Debbie’s family would like to thank the friends and family that helped and assisted in her struggle with cancer and a special thank you to the WVU Hospice girls on 7 West.
Friends and family will be received at Harmer Funeral Home, 300 Pike Street, Shinnston WV, on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a funeral service following at 11:00 AM with Evangelist Edward Partain officiating. Interment will be at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shinnston Church of Christ, 90 Pleasant Ave. Shinnston, WV 26431.
